Live Training Courses

Any course registration cancelled within 24 hours of the initial registration will be refunded in full.

Any course cancellation made after the 24-hour grace period and done 21 calendar days before the scheduled live training will be billed a 10% administrative fee with the balance being refunded.

Any course cancellation made within 21 calendar days before the scheduled live training course will not be refunded. No exceptions. However, MLD will make reasonable efforts to offer the student the opportunity to attend a future MLD course of equal value at no charge as long as attendance is completed within 6 months from the date of the cancellation.

Cancellation or postponement of scheduled live training courses due to weather, acts of god, terrorism or conditions beyond the control of MLD will not result in a refund but reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule the live training courses with 6 months. In such instance MLD assumes no liability for cancellation and any ancillary costs related to the student taking a class (including but not limited to: Airfare, travel costs, hotel, per-diem, mileage, lost employee wages or salary) are the responsibility of the student. MLD will not release certificates of training until all fees have been paid.

Online Training Courses

Any student who cancels within 24 hours of the initial registration AND has not used any minutes of online training will receive a refund less a 10% administrative fee.

If a cancellation is made AFTER 24 hours from the time of registration or if any minutes of online training have been used the course tuition is NON-REFUNDABLE. No exceptions.

Students have 7 days from the date of registration to complete all online courses. Students who fail to complete the course may request an extension of 3 days, provided the request is made BEFORE the course expires. Further extensions will not be granted. All students who do not complete their course in its entirety, within 7 days will not be issued credit or a refund, regardless of the amount of course that is completed.

On-Site Training Courses

To book an on-site training date requires a 25% deposit, and a signed copy of the Training Agreement and must be received by MLD 24-hours of signing the agreement. Any booking not meeting this requirement is subject to cancellation without notice.

Clients who cancel or reschedule onsite training dates after a deposit and a signed agreement have been received will be charged 25% of the total course cost to offset travel, trainer and administrative fees. Additional fees are imposed based on the following schedule: Cancellations or reschedules received within 3 business days or less left before the class start time will be charged a 50% cancellation fee*

Cancellations or reschedules received with 24 hours or less left before the class start time or students who do not show up for training will be charged 100% of the registration cost.*

* All fees with an asterisk (*) above do not qualify for a refund of the balance of the registration fee. Any balance of due must be transferred to an upcoming course date or used as a credit for future training purchases (seminar and online courses only).

General Policies & Information

All open enrollment training courses are held based on enrollment. Although MLD will do its best to hold all scheduled training courses, no warranty or guarantee of any kind is made regarding holding any training course. If a class is cancelled by us, students will be given the option of receiving a refund, transferring to the next available date or to an internet training course at no charge.

MLD assumes no liability for cancellation of courses for any reason or no reason whatsoever. Any ancillary costs related to the student taking a class (including but not limited to: Airfare, any travel costs, hotel, per-diem, mileage, lost employee wages or salary) are the sole responsibility of the student. If a class is cancelled, MLD’s liability is limited to the amount of the registration fee ONLY.

MLD reserves the right to dismiss any student from class for disruptive or inappropriate behavior. We understand that in many situations, students may need to be in contact with their offices on an occasional basis. Please be courteous to the other students and the class instructor and instruct your employees to make these calls ONLY during a break or at lunch. During class all students are required to mute or turn off pagers/cell phones.

Students who are disruptive or exhibit inappropriate behavior will be removed from class and NO REFUND OR CREDIT WILL BE ISSUED.

Open enrollment courses have maximum registration limitations based on regulatory requirements. All registrations are taken based on a first registered, first served basis and then based on pre-payment of registration fees. Any course that reaches the maximum enrollment limit will be handled as follows:

When a class reaches its maximum capacity, registrations that are pre-paid will be guaranteed a course seat. All students that are registered but have not made payment will be given an opportunity to provide payment via a credit card. All registrations that are not paid in advance are subject to cancellation.

All students who do not successfully pass the final exam will be given 1 additional chance to pass the exam. A passing grade is 80% or better. Students who fail the exam a second time will be required to re-register for the course, complete any time requirements (if applicable) quizzes and exams, and pay the normal registration fee for the course a second time.
